**Job Summary:**
CLW in Canton, OH, is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at our day program, providing essential support to individuals with disabilities. This full-time position offers Monday to Friday dayshift hours, ensuring a stable work schedule for the successful candidate.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in a relevant field is beneficial
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug test
- Excellent communication skills and empathy towards others
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a compassionate approach to care
- Availability to work full-time hours during weekdays
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support clients in engaging in community events and social outings
- Encourage and motivate individuals to reach their personal goals and foster independence
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress
- Collaborate with a diverse team to ensure comprehensive support for each individual
- Adhere to all regulations and policies governing the care of individuals with disabilities
