Day Service In Home Trainer

Department: Geneva II
Location: Geneva, OH

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate In-Home Trainer to provide tailored day support services in the homes of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Trainer will be responsible for creating customized training plans based on the unique needs outlined in each participant's Individual Service Plan (ISP), empowering them to reach their developmental goals and foster greater independence. Enjoy making a difference in the lives of our participants while making a difference. The In-Home Trainer will work full-time hours, Monday - Friday, dayshift.

**Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of person-centered planning and behavior management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, pre-employment drug test, and DOT physical.
  • Less than 5 points on driver's license.


**Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver personalized day support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home setting.
  • Design individualized training plans tailored to each participant's ISP objectives.
  • Implement training across various developmental areas, including daily living skills, social skills, and community engagement.
  • Apply behavior support techniques as needed to promote positive outcomes.
  • Foster collaboration with individuals, their support network, and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Track progress and adjust training strategies to meet the evolving needs of each individual.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and developments in the field of developmental disabilities services.
